Above is a picture of me on a happier day! Today was not one of those days! 6:30 am rolled around and I found myself driving my dog to the pet hospital because she couldnt walk. on my way there I get pulled over for going 5 MILES OVER THE SPEED LIMIT!!! ARE YOU KIDDING ME? Stupid bike cop! so there is $150 down the drain! Then I go into the hospital and find out that Daisy (our dog) has one hip and both knee caps out of socket! and that the surgery that she needs will be $2000! sweet! bring it on baby! I opted out of the surgery until I can save my pennies! I do mean pennies! then I went to check out with a $211 balance for the diagnosis... too bad we love this mutt so much!

At least in the Barrett household! Well from Feb-May we got a new job, John graduated college, we bought a house, moved to Nevada, and started 2 new jobs! We are happy to be here, and are finally feeling more settled. we live in a really quiet neighborhood which we LOVE! and our new place is just perfect! love you all!! more pictures to come!

First things first, I could never have been a pioneer!

John and I are renting a home that has this huge garden in the backyard. The people who we are renting from had planted some potatoes and told us to dig them up when the leaves turned brown. sounds easy enough right? well.. they never turned brown. So when it started to get chilly out, we decided that we better dig them up... they were literally the size of my head! this picture does not do them justice! we were laughing our butts off! then being the genius that I am I put them in plastic grocery sacks to bring them to family and they rotted... in 2 days! if you have never smelled rotten potatoes, well ..consider yourselves lucky!

October 8 was Tiffies birthday, my mom and I drove up to Logan to hang with her for the day. It was so much fun! we spent the majority of the day at Hobby Lobby. I love that place! this is the cake I made her. She asked for carmel and baby.. She got it!

We took a trip up to Spirit Lake ID, I have never been somewhere so gorgeous! we had such a blast! we went to the Kootnee County fair, Water Skiing, to the Hayden Lake Sunday brunch ( I hear its famous.. and for good reason!)and shopping in Coure de Alene (sp), My family used to live there. the lake was literally GLASS all day! we had so much fun on the free board!
The water was FREEZING!!! it took me like 5 min to get in

the bottoms to my swimmy flew off like 200 times.. haha good thing no one was on the lake! they would have seen a lot of bum!

It was so much fun to watch John out there! he was having such a blast and could not stop laughing!

There is nothing better than a vacation where you can hang in your sweats and swimmies all day and eat yummy food via Dad and the BBQ. total winner!

ALSO:

John had a Birthday!!... 26th birthday to be exact, we had such a great day, we went shopping in Park City, lunch at Red Rock with Tom and Whit, and finished the evening off with Swiss days. Johns new "comfy" clothes

We spent the morning swimming at the golden nugget, they have a shark tank in the middle of their pool and a slide that goes right through it! super fun!

We had some crazy visitors join us for the weekend...

for the night time John took me to Lake Las Vegas.. it is incredibly beautiful! it was like 108 degrees at 9 pm so we were dying! and sweating to say the least! but super fun!!

Our 4th was sort of weird/ non-traditional, but super fun! we got to go see G run the race, he did it all by himself and got 4th place! what a complete stud! I'm so glad we got to be there to see him!
We also had my dads famous omelettes, 2 baby showers for lil' Macy, and fireworks at Will and Katies.. Tons and tons of ice cream too! ( are'nt holidays supposed to be all about the food?)

One Heck of a Summer!

John and I have been having such a blast! this might be the best summer to date! The last few weeks we have been too swap meets, farmers markets, driving ranges,swimming pools, movies, ( we have the most incredible movie theater by our house. haha sounds lame but that is one of our favorite things to do! and park after park! Last weekend I was lucky enough to fly to AZ to babysit the Warrens, my mama came too and we had a blast! lots of swimming and playing bombs in the pool with Bronxie ( he is the coolest kid!) does anyone remember super soakers? well we bought them and let me tell you they are JUST as fun as they were when we were kids!! We overloaded on snowcones, and spoiled the kids rotten! what a fun fun trip! I sure miss everyone!

We have had a VERY eventful summer so far! we are loving Las Vegas and really hope we can make it permentant here! John is loving his internship and learning spanish very quickly. we love that we are so central to family and friends it seems its the perfect fit! Well here is a big update so I dont forget how much fun we have been having....
First Todd left on a mission! we miss him but know he is doing awesome and working hard

The weekend before we moved we got to see Mckay play baseball... little league, If John could rewind to any time in his life it would be his little league days, Bub is such a stud!

This is the sickest picture but I think its funny, the first weekend we were here Tam and Doug were staying at the Marriott so we came and swam with them. They have a sweet pool! it was super fun to hang with them..... don't be overwelmed by all the chins in this picture ahah

The same weekend we went to see the tulips at the bellagio and get a serendipity frozen hot cocoa.... Mmm HEAVEN!

THe 2nd weekend we were here we went to Flagstaff to meet up with Ma, Dad Smith and the Warrens for Shawns graduation! congrats Shawn! it was such a fun weekend!

I had to go to Utah for a week to work. this is the only picutre I got but its a good one.... Halle is sitting! I love this little munchkin!

WHen I got back from Utah John and I went to disneyland and to Visit the Bollards... prob one of the top 10 trips ever!!! We had a complete blast! Disneyland was practically empty so we went on all the rides dozens of times We met up with Heidi and Ben at Santi Alley for some bargain, knockoff shopping... so fun, we hit up the Groves and had lunch at the farmers market... Great trip! we love you bollards! thanks for hanging with us!

My halloween weekend was perfect!! John was in Kentucky for a few days so I hung out with these kiddos

3.I Love moving.. houses I mean, I think its super fun, loading the truck and bringing boxes in to a new place.. well sometimes an old place, but new to you.

Last weekend was such a BLAST! One of Johns best friends Tom got married and John was the best man, so we got to go see them get sealed and go to there beautiful reception. while John was at the reception, my sister amber kidnapped me and took me to Rascal Flatts!!! Holy Crap.. I LOVE THEM!! then on sunday Johns bro Will bought a Rhino and we had such a blast riding in it! All i can say is YooRAY for SPRING!!!
